PTV Vision
The PTV Vision software consists of a suite of packages that include a microscopic simulation package, VISSIM, and a transport planning package, VISUM. The philosophy behind the PTV Vision software suite is integration and transparency between the various levels of transport analysis: strategic planning, traffic management and operational planning.
The integration between macro, meso, and micro analyses is seamless with common datasets being used at each level of detail of modelling, allowing models to be built more quickly.
The transparency of PTV Vision enables model errors to be easily identified and rectified while results can be easily interpreted by clients, and assumptions can be tested quickly. High quality presentation means there is more engagement of the decision makers and stakeholders in understanding the issues and improves participation.
