Brisbane Gateway Project
The Gateway Upgrade Project is a $1.9 billion upgrade to the Gateway Motorway in Brisbane. The project involves the upgrading of 20 kilometres of the Gateway Motorway (from Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road to Nudgee Road) and the duplication of the Gateway Bridge.
Halcrow MWT provided strategic modelling forecasts and microsimulation operational analysis for the project. Strategic modelling forecasts were provided for patronage analysis and to determine the optimum project design. Microsimulation analysis was used to detail operation issues at key sections of the upgrade.
Halcrow MWT was also the traffic advisor to Queensland Motorways Limited during the tender evaluation.
